New Cancer Treatment Method Uses Gadolinium

by Administrator 6. May 2009 06:57

A new platform is currently being used that could hopefully target, image, and treat cancer in a patient.  The treatment makes use of gadolinium ions.  The study understands the dangers of gadolinium in patients with poor kidneys, and hoped to work around the previous issues of gadolinium and NSF.

The new method uses a gadolinium nano-particle surrounded by other nano-particles.   Many believe that this new method will not be as dangerous to individuals with kidney problems.  This new method produced results that were almost equal to previous results,  but without the harmful side effects.  More testing need to be conducted, but this could possibly be used in future treatments.

If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with NSF following a contrast MRI procedure, contact the NSF lawyers of Williams Kherkher to find out if you have grounds for a legal claim. Call 800-761-3187 today.
