Lawsuit filed against GE Healthcare concerning Omniscan use

by Administrator 16. April 2010 03:44
A lawsuit against GE Healthcare alleges that the company continued to use Omniscan despite reports from its own safety experts about the potential harms. According to court reports, GE Healthcare did not restrict use of Omniscan even though evidence in Europe linked the drug to NSF.

The company apparently learned about the evidence in 2006, but it allegedly did not alert doctors of the potential harms. Omniscan is a gadolinium-based contrast agent used in MRI scans.
