GE Healthcare drops gadolinium libel suit against British scientist

by Administrator 23. February 2010 01:48

GE Healthcare dropped a libel action against a scientist who was critical of the firm's drug containing gadolinium. In 2007, the scientist claimed that the use of Omniscan could lead to negative side effects, including serious damage to a patient's kidneys.

As a result of filing the libel suit, GE Healthcare was criticized for trying to stifle free speech. The scientist apparently made the claim based on his own medical expertise.

If you or anyone you know has experienced negative side effects due to gadolinium, contact the gadolinium attorneys of Williams Khekher at 800-761-3187.
