Many people worry about the dangers of radiation caused by MRI exames. However, most MRI exams have no radiation at all.
What can be damaging to people who undergo MRI exams is exposure to gadolinium, the contrasting agent used in many MRI exams. Although this contrasting agent improves the results of the scan and can lead to a better diagnosis, it also increases the chances of injuries from the exam. Many of the common side effects of gadolinium exposure nephrogenic systemic fibrosis (NSF).
If you or someone you know has undergone an MRI exam and is suffering from NSF, contact the NSF lawyers of Williams & Kherkher at 800-761-3187.
